Odell Beckham Jr was supposed to be the saving grace to the New York Giants offense this season. The wide receiver was drafted in the first round after Hakeem Nicks' departure and the idea that the former LSU star would run in tandem with Victor Cruz, made the upcoming year look very promising. However, a hamstring injury suffered in the first week of training camp has caused Beckham to be a no-show through four games this season and he admits the Giants faithful have let him hear their unhappiness about it.

Beckham is aware that Giants fans are frustrated with him. The wide receiver missed all five preseason games along with four regular season games as he continues to nurse the hamstring injury that is proving to be extremely stubborn. The receiver is trying to be cautious in his return to the field. The original injury was suffered in June, but flared up again in July and August. He is not looking to suffer any more setbacks, hoping that the fanbase can understand his need to be patient.

"Yeah, I've heard ... I wouldn't say I've heard it all, but I've heard quite an earful," Beckham said, via NJ.com. "It just comes with the game, it comes with your profession. You've got to take it as ... for me I take it as motivation. You ignore it as much as you can and keep moving forward. I don't think there's anybody who's been more frustrated than I have been, sitting out, coming in and leaving, this being your first year and you've already missed games and you've never missed a game in your life. It's just not something that's easy to deal with."

The Giants currently sit at 2-2 on the year, but surely did not miss Beckham in their game against the Washington Redskins. The offense appears to have found their grove and chemistry with Eli Manning. Larry Donnell made fans forget all about Beckham as he scored three touchdowns against the Redskins while Cruz put up 189 yards and Rueben Randle added another 89 yards. Getting Beckham into the mix could make the unit look even better than it did last Thursday.

The Giants are hopeful that Beckham is back in Week 5 for the matchup against the Atlanta Falcons who are coming off a terrible defensive showing against the Minnesota Vikings. Beckham could have a real opportunity to make some big plays and get one better terms with New York's biggest fans.
