Liverpool and Everton are playing live on the English Premier League schedule on Saturday and the Merseyside Derby match is from Anfield and has the Reds looking to win at home over the Toffees and the game starts up on NBC Sports Network and online from the NBCSN Live Extra website at 7:45 am ET as these two rivals match up in the EPL.

These two teams played last season and Liverpool won 4-0 with goals from stars Steven Gerrard, Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez and now the team will try and do it again. Liverpool comes into the matchup looking to get going and now they have their biggest rivals on the schedule. Both teams are looking to get on the right track and Liverpool has high expectations after nearly winning the Premier League last year with Luis Suarez leading the way. Liverpool has been unbeaten at home in Derby matches for over a decade and this could be a huge match for Everton.

The two teams will matchup later in the season at Goodison Park and the Reds come in at 11th on the Premier League table and they are looking to bounce back, while Everton is three spots back. Chelsea comes in as the top team on the EPL table, while Liverpool has two wins and three losses this season and Everton comes in with one win in five matches. Liverpool had an epic season last year and now they are trying to get back to that form that saw the team as one of the top scorers in the league behind Luis Suarez, Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge.

Anfield is host to the historic rivalry this time and Liverpool has had issues with chemistry and fatigue and part of that has to do with their other competitions. The team is playing for the domestic trophies and they are also in the Champions League after finishing in the top four in the Premier League last season. Liverpool comes in after a crazy match against Middlesbrough that ended up in a 15 round shootout that came after a 2-2 draw and now they are looking to rebound against Everton.

Liverpool had their best chance in years to win the EPL last season and they couldn't pull it out against Manchester City and they ended up finishing ahead of Chelsea in the standings. The team is looking to get going after some so-so results and Rodgers will be pushing his club to play with confidence against their local rivals and that should be enough to motivate the team in this matchup.
