The Montreal Alouettes and Ottawa Redblacks are playing live on the CFL schedule on Friday night and the game is live from TD Place in Ontario at 7 pm ET and is streaming online from ESPN on the ESPN3.com website from WatchESPN as the Canadian Football League schedule picks up and these two east division teams are looking to get things going after rough starts to the year.
The teams both come in struggling and Montreal has the better record with four wins and eight losses this season, while the Redblacks have won just one game and they will be looking to have a solid performance at home. The teams play again later in the season in October and that will also be in Ottawa and the last matchup was in Montreal and saw the Alouettes win by 10 points.
The east standings are a mess right now and all the teams are behind the west overall and this has Montreal looking to move up, as all three teams at the top have four wins on the season. The Tiger Cats and Argonauts are the top two teams over Montreal and Ottawa and those teams are looking to keep things going, as all three are coming off of wins.
The west has the better teams with Calgary on top with 10 wins and everyone in the west is coming off of a loss except the Roughriders. Saskatchewan is second and they are there ahead of Edmonton and that adds to their game and those teams are in ahead of BC and then it's the Blue Bombers in last place in the west and they have now lost three in a row. The team has also given up more points than they have scored, while Calgary has the highest scoring offense and the, least amount of points allowed this season.
The east has been a mess compared to the west and Hamilton is in first place in the east with Toronto and Montreal and Ottawa is in last place. The west has Calgary leading and they have a lead over the Roughriders, while Edmonton and BC are next ahead of Winnipeg and it should be a strong finish to the season/
