The fantasy football Week 3 matchups are over for the weekend and some of the top free agents and sleeper pickups for owners include Jordan Matthews, Lorenzo Taliaferro, Alfred Blue, John Brown, Khiry Robinson, Jeremy Maclin, Niles Paul, Donald Brown, Knile Davis, Kelvin Benjamin, Bishop Sankey and Kirk Cousins.

The Redskins and Eagles game had over 600 yards of total offense and players like Kirk Cousins, Jeremy Maclin, Jordan Matthews and Niles Paul all played big parts in the matchup. Nick Foles showed once again that he is perfect for Chip Kelly's offense, while Cousins had another very good game coming in for Robert Griffin III and he could end up being the starter even once RG3 comes back. Niles Paul has been a solid replacement for Jordan Reed while he is injured and Jordan Matthews broke out big for the Eagles on Sunday and could be a strong option moving forward.

Lorenzo Taliaferro had a strong performance with Bernard Pierce out for the ravens and he is a solid pickup in deeper leagues for fantasy owners along with Justin Forsett. The Ray Rice situation is only looking worse for the Ravens and they have now won two games since all of that broke and with Pierce off to a horrible start this season, Taliaferro and Forsett are the better pickups. Alfred Blue stepped in for Arian Foster with the running back out for the Texans and he is a solid option for deeper leagues if Foster's injury lingers.

John Brown had a strong game for the Cardinals and his speed is a big plus for Arizona and that could get him some more looks later this season. Larry Fitzgerald has not been getting many looks with Michael Floyd emerging and now the speedy Brown is looking like a sleeper for the rest of this season. Brown had 52 yards and a touchdown against the 49ers and he is a legitimate number three or four receiver for owners. Blue had 78 yards on 13 carries against the Giants and he could be an option if Foster has to stay off the field for any more game and his speed is a major weapon.

Taliaferro looks like he has the chance to take over as the lead back after doing nothing for two games, as he rushed for 91 yards on 18 carries and scored a TD for the Ravens. Pierce was out for this game after coming into the season as the assumed started with Ray Rice out, but after fumbling in his first game and missing the second of the season, it looks like Taliaferro and Forsett are more consistent options.

Matthews came into the season as a major sleeper, but after just three catches in two games for 54 yards, many fantasy owners were growing restless. The Eagles rewarded their patience on Sunday after Matthews ended up with eight catches for nearly 60 yards and two touchdowns and now he could be a more consistent option as the season wears on. Matthews had just four targets last week and now he could be the third option for the Eagles behind starters Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin.
