The Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers are playing on the Sunday Night Football schedule for Week 3 of the NFL season and the game is live from Bank of America Stadium starting up on NBC with TV coverage at 8:30 pm ET as Cam Newton and Ben Roethlisberger go at it and the SNF matchup is one of the best of the weekend as the Panthers try to stay undefeated.

The Steelers come in after a tough loss on Thursday night football against the Ravens and they have their second straight primetime game and this comes ahead of a matchup with the Buccaneers. The Ravens beat down the Steelers and now they have to travel to Carolina and Cam Newton is coming in after making his season debut in the win last weekend. Newton is dealing with a rib injury, but he has looked good in action already and this is the second straight road game for the Steelers.

The Panthers have been off to a very strong start and after winning over the Buccaneers to start the season, the team won over the Lions in the season debut of Cam Newton. The team now has the Steelers before playing the Baltimore Ravens and that opens a stretch of three games on the road in four weeks. The team has the Ravens in Baltimore before matching up with the Bears and then the team has two road games with the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers.

Pitt has a tough schedule this season and they have a long run of games before the Week 12 bye and they are currently in the middle of a four games on the road in five weeks stretch. The team has Carolina and Tampa Bay before heading back out on the road against the Jaguars and the Cleveland Browns and that will be the second time the team plays the Browns in five weeks. The team opened with a win against the Browns and after that game they will have three straight home games in a row and two Monday night football matchups in five weeks heading into the bye.

The team plays against the Texans at home on Monday night football in Week 7 and then they have the Colts and Ravens and all three of those games will be in Pittsburgh. The Steelers then have road matchups with the NY Jets and the Tennessee Titans and that last game of the stretch comes on Monday night and leads into the bye week. The team then ends the season on a tough stretch with the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs and two games in four weeks against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Newton and Big Ben are both massive QBs and they can move around in the pocket and outside and that will make it tough for defenses to handle them. Newton comes in looking to stay undefeated this season and the Steelers are looking to bounce back from a bad loss after a long week of preparation and recovery from Thursday night against the rival Ravens.
