Mississippi State has everyone's attention. Quarterback Dak Prescott is putting together a strong season so far which is making the Bulldog's matchup with LSU looking more even than ever before. The Mississippi State quarterback has 696 yards on the season with nine touchdowns overall, looking like one of the breakout stars of the season. Now he must face a tough LSU secondary as the Bulldogs hit tohe road for an SEC West matchup.

The Tigers have given up just 94 yards passing per game to start the year with wins over Wisconsin, Sam Houston State and Louisiana-Monroe. The quarterbacks of those three teams have combined to complete just 40 percent of their passing attempts while no one has a touchdown. Prescott is looking to change that statistic. He has completed 60 percent of his passes while only tossing two interceptions. His dual-threat abilities could throw the Tiger's defense as he did rush for 103 yards last season.

Mississippi State's history against LSU is very bad. The Bulldogs have not beaten the Tigers since 1999. Since the SEC expanded the division, LSU has won 21 of 22 meetings. However, this is a different Bulldogs team, one that could be in the discussion for the West as the season wraps up.

The Tigers trust their own offense. They have outscored opponents 108 to 0 since getting the win over Wisconsin when they first fell behind 24-7. They have two quarterbacks working as well, but Jennings is expected to get the start. He has 566 passing yards on the season with five touchdowns. Match him with the dynamic running of Hillard who has 215 yards on the year and the Tigers offense is no joke along with their defense which is allowing an average of 8.0 points per game so far this season.

The Tigers are favored heavily simply because this is a night matchup. LSU has a .935 win percentage at Death Valley at night, something the Bulldogs must account for.
