The Oakland Raiders head coaching job has never been a secure gig for anyone involved and Dennis Allen could be finding out quickly just how true that statement is. The Raiders are off to yet another unimpressive start to the 2014 season as they sit 0-2 on the year not even looking close to a team ready to win a game. Naturally, Allen's job is officially starting to be put into question as the Raiders have a short leash for any coach on the payroll. However, Allen denies the idea that his job security should be questioned through two games.

According to CSNBayArea.com, the Raiders front office has already began discussing a plan to move on from Dennis Allen if the team does not start improving quickly. It is being reported that owner Mark Davis is not happy at all with the current direction of the team considering they are coming off of two 4-12 seasons. Davis reportedly has a backup plan in place which includes making offensive line coach Tony Sparano the head coach for the remainder of the season while Allen gets fired immediately. Sparano has head coaching experience with the Miami Dolphins for four seasons. Allen refused to address the report.

"What matters is getting ready for the New England Patriots. And that's all I'm going to focus on," Allen said, via the San Jose Mercury News.

Allen would not even entertain the idea that he was getting canned sooner rather than later. The head coach quickly cut off all reporters when addressing the media on Wednesday. He would only say that the team needs a change. Safety Charles Woodson put it perfectly saying the team "sucks" right now and Allen admits a new approach is needed.

"We're two weeks into the season," Allen said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. "At the same time, you don't want to bury your head in the sand. We've got to get better. We need to do it fast."

The Raiders are investing into Derek Carr as the starting quarterback about a year before they intended to. The issue is that none of their offensive weapons are performing up to expectations. James Jones and Rod Streater are not putting up the numbers. Mychal Rivera is fumbling as Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew have failed to bounce back after struggling seasons. If those things can begin to change, Allen might keep his job.
