The Buffalo Bills may look at a CJ Spiller trade if they can't work out a contract extension with the RB and if that happens, teams like the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, NY Giants and Vikings all could be interested in making the move, as those clubs all have come issues at running back and while a deal is unlikely now, it could change around the trade deadline.

According to NFL.com, the Bills and Spiller have started talking again about a contract extension after trade rumors came up over the summer, but so far the sides are not close on a deal. Spiller said he had heard about the trade rumors this summer and tried to block them out and just play football and clearly he did that on Sunday, as he was named special teams player of the week after running back a kick return for a touchdown.

Spiller has been so explosive in his NFL career and while the Bills want to keep him, the team knows that there is a chance that may not happen. The team took some steps to make sure they are ready for whatever happens, as they signed Fred Jackson to an extension and also signed Anthony Dixon. The team also added Bryce Brown in a trade over the summer and that gives the team some solid options moving forward with or without Spiller.

The Bills are not looking to trade Spiller and while they want to keep him, they understand that the NFL is a business and that there is a chance he could get moved. The Dolphins just lost Knowshon Moreno and while they are looking at LaMichael James, they could look at Spiller, as he could be a nice fit for their offense. Pro Football Talk wrote earlier in the year that Spiller doesn't exactly fit the offense for Doug Marrone and that could be another reason why he gets moved.

The Oakland Raiders have Darren McFadden and a banged up Maurice Jones-Drew and they also have an injury prone back in Latavius Murray. The team could look at making a deal and that could be an option, while the Dallas Cowboys also could jump in. The team was interested in Adrian Peterson, but that is taking an odd turn and they could look at Spiller instead. The same goes for the Ravens, as they lost their star in Ray Rice and while there is a chance he makes it back, it likely will not be in Baltimore.

Spiller has had a very solid start to the season and he already has 122 yards rushing and four catches for 20 yards in two games. Spiller also had an electric 102-yard kick return for a touchdown and that was huge for the Bills, who are now staying in Buffalo and are 2-0 on the season. Spiller is a great receiver out of the backfield and so far the Bills have not been able to utilize that.

Spiller had his breakout season in 2012 with 1244 yards and 42 catches for 459 yards, but that was under Chan Gailey. While Marrone is a solid coach, last season he did not get the most out of Spiller and he was down across the board in rushing yards, TDs, receptions and reception yards. The team would love for Spiller to keep things going in the return game and he also could be a major factor on offense going forward.
