New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays Live Stream: Watch Online MLB American League Baseball Games Streaming 7:05 PM ET

The New York Yankees are dealing with injuries that are hurting their chances at getting to the postseason as the team sits in sixth place in the American League wild card race. If the team is going to get back on track, the Tampa Bay Rays are not the team to do it again as they are enjoying a nice five-game win streak at Yankee Stadium. The Rays have won 12 of their last 14 games in the Bronx and take advantage of a Yankees team that has lost six of their last nine.

Tampa Bay will start Jake Odorizzi against the depleted Yankees team. New York only managed seven hits on Tuesday without Brett Gardner or Martin Prado. Gardner has missed three games with an abdominal strain. He leads the team with 81 runs. Prado strained his left hamstring while currently hitting .382 in his last 17 games. Neither have a timetable for their return to the lineup.

Odorizzi is 1-0 with a 5.59 ERA against the Yankees in two starts this season. Right now, he has a streak of 14 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings against the team. He is not the only one having success in the Bronx. James Loney is hitting .382 with three home runs and 12 RBIs in the Bronx. Loney is 7 for 10 in his last two games.

New York will start Crhs Capuano who has a 4.13 ERA in his last five starts at home. He has gotten the Yankees a win in his last three starts despite the high ERA. He has given up six home runs in 16 innings which is not a good stat to have with the Rays playing. In his most recent start against Tampa Bay, he gave up six runs. Loney is 4 for 7 against the pitcher.

New York is at a crucial spot in their season. The American League wild card race is a tight one and the Yankees cannot afford a loss. They are 4-6 in their last 10 games and need to find some momentum to finish out the year.
