Marin Cilic won the US Open over Kei Nishikori on Monday in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 to win his first career grand slam title and the match was over in quick fashion and now the 14th seed has the win over the 10th seed, the first time a double digit matchup came down in the final and Cilic joins Serena Williams as winners at the Open.
"Seems completely unreal," he said, "to be called 'Grand Slam champion.' "
