Quarterback Joe Flacco #5 of the Baltimore Ravens (R) talks with members of the offense during practice at their training facility on September 8, 2014 in Owings Mills, Maryland. Earlier in the day the Ravens terminated the contract of running back Ray Rice and the NFL suspended him indefinitely after the release of video showing Rice striking his then-fiancée in a hotel elevator."

The Baltimore Ravens and the NFL made major moves on Running back Ray Rice on Monday, releasing and suspending the star after video emerged of him punching his wife unconscious and now the Ravens will have a live press conference at 7:15 pm ET and the coverage is on ESPN and WatchESPN for media time with John Harbaugh and they likely will be addressing the Rice situation.

The Ravens had no choice and now the NFL and the team will have to answer questions about why it took this long for the punishment to come down, as this was a video that had long been reported on. The Ravens and the NFL reportedly knew what was on the tape and now he has been fired, but not because of what he did, but because everyone in America was angry about it. Roger Goodell has a problem on his hands and it is one of his own making and now he could be in a very tough situation following the Rice issue.

Rice was charged with felony assault and his wife did not testify against him or press charges and now he has been fired after pressure for his crime. Rice did something disgusting and the NFL only gave him a two game suspension and now he has been released and this could end his career and he committed a serious crime. Rice also lied to his team and his teammates and possibly the NFL, implying that his wife was "beating" him rather than what actually was on the video.
