The Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers are playing live on the MLB schedule on Monday and the huge AL Central game is big in the playoff race and starts up at 4:08 pm ET and has Jeremy Guthrie against Justin Verlander and these two teams are fighting in the division and in the wild card and now the teams are battling each other.
The Tigers are back a half game of the Mariners and this race is starting to get very tight and the Royals can push their division lead with a win here. This is the first of three games and could decide the division and the wild card, as a bad performance here could knock the Tigers from the races. The same goes for the Royals in the division, but they have a nice cushion and likely would be right in the mix still even with a sweep for the wild card.
These two teams have been going at it all season and now it could come down to these three days in September.
