The Los Angeles Angels are currently the best team in baseball as they continue a late-season surge before the post season begins. The team currently owns the best record in baseball while holding tight to a seven-game division lead as they have won 19 of their past 25 games since early August. Now, they prepare to face off against the Cleveland Indians in a game that was postponed back in June.

The Cleveland Indians are putting together a streak of their own hoping to win their fourth-straight game, but going against Jered Weaver will not help. The right-hander is seeking his 16th win of the season after posting his first defeat in nearly a month. Weaver gave up two runs over six innings, but received no run support to get the win. He is 7-3 with a 2.24 ERA in his last 11 starts against the Indians specifically, but did get the loss the last time the two teams faced off. The Angels bats are moving well, especially thanks to Mike Trout, so Weaver may not have the run support issue this time around.

The Angels not only have one of the best combined ERAs in baseball at 3.08, but they are also batting well thanks to Trout who has gone 8 for 20 with two home runs, a triple, three doubles and seven RBIs against Cleveland this season. The Angels have put together 34 runs and a .340 batting average on their four-game win streak. They should also be getting back Josh Hamilton who missed three games for shoulder soreness. He is batting .263 with 10 home runs and 44 RBIs.

The Indians will counter with Danny Salazar who is 6-6 with a 3.80 ERA. He is currently working a 17-inning scoreless streak after giving up just eight hits in a complete game on Wednesday. He also struck out nine batters as the Indians got the 7-0 win against Detroit. In his only appearance against the Angels, Salazar gave up one run over five innings as the team got the win.
