The BC Lions and Ottawa Redblacks are playing live on the CFL schedule on Friday and the matchup is from TD Place Stadium in Ontario at 7:30 pm and the coverage is live on ESPN from ESPN3 and the WatchESPN website and has the Lions looking to push past the struggling Red Blacks and this is the first game for British Columbia against the team.
The Lions and the Redblacks play again this season and that will be in BC and comes in October and that game is a night matchup on a Saturday. The Lions come in last in the west and they are 5-34 on the season, while the Redblacks are looking to snap their streak and they are just 1-8 as the teams matchup for the first time.
The Lions come into the game as the last place team in the west and they are not too far back, but they need to start winning and this could be a good chance to get that done after losing their last game. The team has played better on the road than at home and they are now 5-4 on the season and taking on a team that has lost six straight games overall. The West division has Calgary leading with 16 points and the Stampeders have the best record in the league and they are leading Saskatchewan and Edmonton with 14 points.
The Eskimos have a great offense and the best defense in the league by points allowed and they have lost one, while Saskatchewan has won six straight games. Winnipeg has a strong offense and they are in fourth place with 10 points, while BC has 10 points on the season. The east has Toronto leading the division with the Argonauts winning three games, but they have lost seven in a row, so that's hwo bad the east is. Hamilton and Montreal are leading Ottawa and they are looking for their second win.
Quarterback Travis Lulay will be making the start for the Lions and he will have the chance to get things going and this could be a solid matchup on Friday night. Although the two teams are last in their divisions, the Lions have the chance to pull out of things, while it looks like the Redblacks are going to end up staying there, as they have won just one game this season.
