Seahawks Fantasy Football Starters: Percy Harvin, Russell Wilson, Doug Baldwin Top Starts With Zach Miller, Jermaine Kearse

The Seattle Seahawks start the NFL season on Thursday for Week 1 and some starters in fantasy football for the Packers game include Percy Harvin, Russell Wilson, Doug Baldwin and Marshawn Lynch, while names like Zach Miller, Kevin Norwood and Jermaine Kearse could be sleeper options in deeper leagues as the Hawks come back to try and repeat as Super Bowl champions.

The Seahawks come in with the top defense in the league and they are considered to be the favorites to win the Super Bowl again, but there has not been a repeat winner in years and that will make things tough. Wilson should be a better fantasy option than last year as long as Percy Harvin stays healthy and he also has one of the best running backs in football in Marshawn Lynch heading up the backfield.

Lynch comes into the season after dealing with a holdout, but he is ready for Week 1 and the Packers come in with a weak rush defense, ranking near the bottom of the league last year. Lynch is as productive as anyone in the league and he simply doesn't miss games, as he has missed only one since coming to Seattle in 2010. Lynch rushed for 1257 yards last season and also added 36 receptions and had a combined 14 touchdowns, making him one of the highest scoring players in the league.

Some think that Christine Michael or Robert Turbin can be sleepers, but Lynch has shown over the past few years that it's all about him. Lynch had over 300 carries in each of the last two seasons and he had 285 the year before that. Expect Lynch to get the ball a ton this season and he is the top option on the team over Turbin or Michael, although they make solid handcuffs if he gets injured.

Jermaine Kearse could be a nice sleeper option after Golden Tate left, as he is next in line behind Doug Baldwin and Harvin. Last season Kearse had solid production with 22 catches for 346 yards and he could have more targets now with Tate in Detroit. Russell Wilson and Kearse had a couple really nice big plays last year and he could be a sleeper deep threat alongside Harvin, who is one of the most explosive players in football.

The Seahawks traded for Harvin before last season and while he was out all but one game and made just one catch for 17 yards, he made his impact in the Super Bowl with a kick return TD. The Seahawks see him as the player from Minnesota that put up 62 catches for 677 yards in nine games in 2012 and the player who had 87 catches for 967 yards the year before that.

The Seahawks have the chance to repeat as Super Bowl champions, as they have one of the best backs in football and also an explosive receiver in Harvin. Last season Harvin did not get the chance to make an impact, but with Golden Tate gone and his health back to normal, he could end up being one of the most valuable fantasy football players in the league.
