Manchester United is coming off of a tough season and now they have a new addition, as Angel Di Maria has transferred from Real Madrid on a £60 million deal that is the highest in British soccer history as he joins the Premier League club.

According to SI.com, the team acquired Di Maria for a $98.9 million transfer fee and now he is set to join the team and it comes after he won the Champions League title with Real last season. He scored four goals and added 17 assists in 27 matches last year and now he is heading to Old Trafford.

Di Maria also scored a goal while playing for Argentina in the World Cup and he is just the latest addition to the team after Juan Mata last year and Marcos Rojo last week. Rojo is still getting his situation settled and now the team has added another star. Man Utd has been off to a slow start, losing the first Premier League game of the season and then pulling a draw for new manager Louis Van Gaal in his first two matches.

"I am absolutely delighted to be joining Manchester United. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Spain and there were a lot of clubs interested in me, but United is the only club that I would have left Real Madrid for."
