The Ottawa Redblacks and Montreal Alouettes ate playing live on the CFL schedule on Friday night as the Canadian Football League gets back in action and the game is live streaming from ESPN online from WatchESPN at 7:30 pm ET at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium in Quebec as these two 1-7 teams face off as east division foes and clearly both need this win.

The two teams are playing now and they also have two more matchups on the schedule and those include both games at Ottawa. These two teams have struggled this season in the east and the west has been the main division and now they are looking to get another win to try and pull out of this season slump on both sides. Redblacks QB Thomas DeMarco is injured and his season is over, while the Alouettes have been dealing with the aftermath of their record setting quarterback retiring with Anthony Calvillo leaving and they also lost coach Marc Trestman to the NFL and the Chicago Bears.

You could call this a must win for both sides, but that is painfully obvious and now it will be a battle of one win teams in Montreal. The two teams played in the preseason and now Montreal comes in having lost six games in a row, while Montreal has lost five, so that will mean one of those has got to give. The Alouettes played away after losing to Saskatchewan and the Blue Bombers and those were tough games for the offense, which has been one of the worst in the CFL.

This season the east division has been a mess and the Toronto Argonauts are leading with three wins and they have six losses, but they are on top with six points over everyone else. The team has lost two in a row and they have been strong on offense and now they are ahead of Hamilton, Montreal and Ottawa in the standings in the east division. Ottawa and Montreal have similar numbers with points allowed and scored and they each could use a big boost on offense this year.

The west has been much better and they have all the top teams, with everyone in that division from top to bottom with better records than the east teams. The top of the division has Calgary tied in points with Edmonton and those two are at the top and have each won three in a row. Saskatchewan is next and they have won five in a row and have played some amazing defense, while Winnipeg is hanging around with BC at the bottom and those teams are strong as well.
