The St. Louis Rams have plenty of questions heading into team roster cut downs and Michael Sam making the team is one of them and so far the rookie has been confident that he will make the team, while Tim Tebow could be a desperate option at quarterback to replace Sam Bradford after the team considered signing him last season as a free agent.

According to ESPN.com and Pro Football Talk, Sam is confident that he will be making the roster and so far sources have reported that there is a good chance he will make the team as the rosters trim down after the preseason from 75 to 53 players. Sam has made an impact in the preseason, leading the team in QB hits and also putting up multiple sacks. The game against the Dolphins on Thursday was his last chance to make an impact and he did that, making six tackles in the game.

Sam has received plenty of attention since he is the first openly gay player in the NFL, but all reports have him going about his business and working hard. Sam has played well and the Rams now have a decision to make, as they have starters Robert Quinn and Chris Long along with backup ends William Hayes and Eugene Sims, meaning there are not a lot of spots left on the roster. Ethan Westbrooks is a fellow rookie and he has also played well and now the team has to decide whether to keep one or both of the players.

The Rams defense held tight against the Dolphins and they were limited to just 2.7 yards per carry and now the team has some major decisions to make. Sam had 11 tackles and three sacks for the team in the preseason and now he has to wait and see what happens. The Rams last season reportedly had internal discussions about Tebow and while this is mostly just the most speculative of speculation, the team could consider signing him....but they won't.
