Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has vowed to help new signing Marko Marin settle in at Stamford Bridge as quickly as possible as the Blues step up their chase for Victor Moses.
The Blues signed the German international from Werder Bremen for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £7 million ($11 million).
Marin joins the likes of Eden Hazard as Chelsea look to freshen up their squad with younger players who are technically sound and good on the ball.
Marin comes from a Serbian background and current captain of the Serbian national team Ivanovic promised to help the 23-year-old out.
"I met him in the World Cup in 2010 when he played against us for Germany," Ivanovic told the club's official website.
"We met again when he signed for Chelsea, and we trained for the first time together and I am very impressed and feel very positive about him.
"He feels confident and he feels ready and this is most important for now.
"It is great for me because I can speak the Serbian language with him and I will try to help him but he speaks English already."
Marin said former Chelsea striker and team-mate at Bremen Claudio Pizarro encouraged him to make a move to Stamford Bridge.
"He (Pizarro) only had good things to say," reported Marin.
"I asked him how it is here and he still has a house in Cobham. He didn't play a lot but he said that he had a great time here and he thinks I will enjoy it.
Marin admitted he was already settling in well at Chelsea. "'I am now here for three weeks and I think I know everybody (who works here) now," Marin said.
"I am happy to start now the team training and I feel good. It was the first time we trained together with the ball, we did a lot and it was good intensity.
"The first two days we have only one session a day and then it starts with double sessions."
The midfielder elaborated on his playing style and was confident of helping his team to win more titles.
"I think I am an offensive player, more a winger, so I hope I can give a lot of assists to strikers so they score a lot of goals and they help the team.
"If you play for such a team as Chelsea you want to win trophies, like last year with the Champions League and the FA Cup.
"The Premier League I think is the best league in the world and to win this, that is my aim."
Meanwhile, Chelsea are closing in on Moses offering Wigan Athletic to £7 million ($11 million) upfront plus add-ons, which will eventually take the fee to £10 million ($15.5 million).
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has stated his reluctance to sanction a move for Moses, but might be forced to let his star player go as the 21-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract.
