Aston Villa and Newcastle United are playing live on the English Premier League schedule on Saturday and it opens at 7:45 am ET from Villa Park on the NBC Sports Network and live on the NBCSN Live Extra stream for the EPL and comes ahead of games this weekend with Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton and West Brom.
Aston Villa made some signings in the offseason and they could make their debuts, with both Joe Cole and Carlos Sánchez likely to play. The weekend schedule has Swansea City playing Burnley, while Chelsea and Leicester City will be matched up. The top game of Saturday is Arsenal and Everton, while Sunderland and Man United play on Sunday, while Southampton and West Brom is also on the schedule for Saturday and Tottenham plays Queens Park on Sunday.
The league table has Chelsea leading with Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool, so not much has changed to open the season. Swansea City and Aston Villa are there as well and they have started off the season well. The teams are looking to keep things going and this game is big for both sides for the start of the season.
