Bayern Munich's Polish striker Robert Lewandowski (L) and Bayern Munich's midfielder Sebastian Rode take part in an official training session of German first division Bundesliga football club Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena stadium in Munich, southern Germany, on August 9, 2014. "

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are playing live in the German Super Cup for the 2014 DFL-Supercup on Wednesday and the match is live at 12 pm ET and 5 pm BST as the two German clubs match up and this will be from Signal Iduna Park aka the Westfalenstadion and has Bayern coming in as the Bundesliga champions and Borussia as the runners up in the league and the DFB-Pokal tourney and now the two sides face off ahead of the season.

Bayern Munich has been one of the best teams in the world over the past year and they wrapped up their Bundesliga title with tons of time to go last season. Dortmund ended up as the runners up in the German League and the team also came in second to Bayern in the DFB-Pokal Cup match final, losing 2-0 in that matchup. Bayern comes in with wins in both of those and the team now is looking to take the Super Cup from Dortmund, as they are the defending champions after winning over Bayern the year before in a 4-2 match. These two teams have gone back and forth, as Bayern won the previous year over Dortmund and now it could go back that way again.

Jurgen Klopp's team has the Cup now and Pep and his boys will try and take it and this one is for some pride and this should have the two German sides playing hard as the matchup goes down. Bayern of course comes in after winning both of these titles last year and it would be fitting if they added this one as well. These two teams are playing for the third straight year and while some top names will be in action, some may get some rest heading into the beginning weeks of the German league season.

Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Bastian Schweinsteiger are likely not playing for Bayern and they come in with a number of their players having played in the World Cup. Some won with Germany and that should give those players a boost this year and Manuel Neuer added before the game that playing their rival is a special type of game. Marco Reus has been in the crosshairs and the two teams have sniped back and forth about him and this comes after Bayern lost Toni Kroos earlier this summer to Real Madrid.

Bayern is one of the best teams in the World and they lost in the Champions League semifinals last season and now are looking to get back there as well. The team won the Champs League the year before and they also are looking to win another Bundesliga title. The team took that with weeks to spare and they were as dominant in their domestic league as anyone in the world. Pep Guardiola has his team playing well and they are fired up after that chippy MLS all-Star game now they will try and take the German Cup back.
