The Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Diamondbacks are playing on the afternoon MLB schedule on Wednesday and the game from Great American Ball Park starts up at 12:35 pm Et as these NL teams matchup and the Reds are looking to stay in the playoff hunt while the Dbacks are playing for pride and now they face off with wade Miley and Alfredo Simon on the mound.
The Reds are in playoff contention, but their offense has been a mess as of late and now they will try and get things done against the Diamondbacks, one of the worst teams in the league. Todd Frazier needs to step up and the team has also been dealing with injuries to their two best hitters in Joey Votto and Brandon Phillips and that has been a major issue for the team all season.
The team hasn't had back to back wins in weeks and now they are looking to get things even with the Diamondbacks and it comes as Simon is looking to snap a three straight losing streak since the All-Star break. This season the Reds are near the bottom in nearly all offensive categories, including in runs scores, batting average and on base percentage and without their pitching doing well they would be way out of things.
