The Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox are playing live on the MLB schedule on Monday night and the ESPN game is from Fenway Park and has RA Dickey against Clay Buchholz on the mound and starts up at 7 pm ET on WatchESPN streaming online as these AL teams meet up and try and get position in the division and in the playoff race.

The Blue Jays have been making their way back into the division race and they are now in the wild card spot in the AL behind the Angels and they now can push that more against the Red Sox. The two teams played last week and won three of four games and now they are leading the season series and Boston is playing for any chance of getting out of the hole they are in and they come in after beating the Rays. Ortiz blasted a home run and poked Tampa Bay once again and now the Red Sox are looking to get on a streak of their own.

Buchholz snapped a three start streak with a loss in his last game and now he is looking to pitch well at home and he has has not been great when that has happened, losing each of the last five times that happened. The Blue Jays snapped a long losing streak in the Bronx and played well over the weekend and Buchholz comes in after going 1-3 in three starts this season against Toronto and he will try and buck that on Monday. Jose Reyes comes in on a hot hitting streak and the Blue Jays just won their last series with two games in a row against the Yankees after losing the first matchup.

The Orioles are still leading the AL East and the Jays are closing in after the way they have played and they are now six over .500 and they are still mashing the ball. The team is ranked in the top five in runs and batting average this season and also third in slugging percentage and they have been able to keep it up despite injuries and while the pitching has not been quite up to par, the team has been scoring enough to win.

The Red Sox have been bad this season, but they have a chance to affect the AL East race with the games in the second half and this could be the start of that. The team beat Chris Archer on Sunday and now Clay will be on the mound against Dickey and they come into the game 21st in runs and 20th in batting average.
