Klay Thompson has heard every rumor out there. He is well-aware that the Golden State Warriors are in pursuit of getting Kevin Love in a trade and that his name has been mentioned in part of the deal. The Minnesota Timberwolves are not interested in striking a deal unless Thompson is involved and the shooting guard is simply hoping a deal is not done as he has no intentions of leaving the Warriors.

Thompson is simply reiterating what his father, radio host Mychal Thompson, has already said. The shooting guard does not want to be traded. He is happy with the talented backcourt the team has in place and believes there is really no need to break that up even if it means getting Love in return. Golden State has been in talks for months about getting the forward and no move has been made, but there is no telling if Thompson will get his wish. He told Yahoo Sports that he gets the vibe that he will remain with the team.

"We got a good core. I feel we have one of the better backcourts in the league," Thompson said, via Yahoo Sports. "I feel like we have a team that can do big things. Health is going to be huge, but I feel like we can make big strides this year. The fact that I haven't been traded yet makes me feel comfortable. That speaks for itself."

Stephen Curry agrees with his teammate. Both players taking part in USA Basketball's training camp in hopes of making the final roster. Curry agrees that Golden State has one of the better backcourts and is hopeful that new head coach Steve Kerr does not breakup the band in favor of Love.

"Every year there is some rumor in play and teams are trying to make a power move," Curry said. "But they've made a decision, at least it seems like they have, that Klay is an investment they don't want to give up. That speaks volumes to what he has been able to do in his career and his potential. I'm happy that he's my backcourt mate."

If Golden State is going to make a trade for Love, either Thompson must be involved or they need another team to help the effort. So far the Cavaliers are trying to team up with the Philadelphia 76ers in order to escalate a three-team deal. Golden State would need a similar deal since it does not appear the Minnesota Timberwolves are in favor of the David Lee, Harrison Barnes package originally presented. With Thompson reportedly preparing to demand a max contract from the Warriors, he might not be on the roster as long as he hopes.
