The Philadelphia 76ers are still in rebuilding mode after drafting Joe Embiid and this season the team may look at trading pieces to continue building and names like Michael Carter-Williams, Thaddeus Young and Jason Richardson could be potential trade targets and this comes after the team recently signed their draft picks along with Pierre Jackson.

The Sixers are in a hard rebuild and that was evident by the selection of Embiid in the draft at number three overall, as he could be out for this entire season. The Sixers have deal with this in the past, as they traded for Nerlens Noel last year and he did not play at all after coming over from the Pelicans following his injury while at Kentucky. According to Pro Basketball Talk, the team signed Pierre Jackson to a contract after originally drafting him back in 2013 and he comes back by way of the Noel trade and then getting released and now he is back with the team despite being injured.

The Sixers have a number of young players that are injured and that is one reason why Richardson is trade bait and while he is coming off of a rookie of the year win, Carter-Williams has been mentioned in trade rumors for Sam Hinkie. The team likely will not move him after the season he had, but his value may not be any higher than it is now and Hinkie has made some outside the box deals already since taking over and he could try and secure some draft picks for him.

Jackson signed with the team after playing in the Orlando Summer League and injuring his Achilles and now he is back with the team and he came in after the Sixers moved a second round pick for him. The move back and forth was welcome for Jackson, as the Pelicans did not use him in the NBA last season and he could be a long term project. Jackson was very good in the D League and now he can hang out while Embiid while the two recover.
