After years of serving as a replacement talent on Smackdown and SuperStars, Tyson Kidd may finally be receiving a push.

Kidd, whose time on the main roster began on ECW, is a former Tag Team Champion.  Since losing the titles alongside David Hart Smith, Kidd has been primarily used to get other talents over.

Last week, Kidd qualified for the World Heavyweight Championship MITB match at the upcoming PPV.  While he is not expected to win the bout, entry into the contest was still a tip of the cap to a former heel that is quickly becoming a fan favorite.  Last night on Raw, Kidd turned what had appeared to be a squash match into a surprising victory over Lord Tensai.

Kidd was later shown getting  beat down in the locker room area from Tensai, but WWE has not posted a storyline "breaking news" update that suggest Kidd will miss MITB due to injury.

Heath Slater also got a rare victory last night, when he beat Doink.  Doink returned to Raw in preparation for the upcoming 1000th episode of the weekly TV show.

Slater was soon put in his place, though, as Diamond Dallas Paige appearaed and hit Slater with the "Diamond Cutter."
