The Cleveland Browns are dealing with the Josh Gordon situation and he will appeal his suspension for one-year on August 1 and as this goes on, the team may look at a trade for Andre Johnson, Mike Wallace, Danny Amendola or Denarius Moore if he is suspended for the year, as they need some support if their star is out for 2014.

According to ESPN.com, Gordon will appeal the suspension to the NFL and it comes after he failed another drug test earlier this season. Brown was a superstar last season and led the league in receiving yards and set career highs in receptions and yards. The Browns are in a tough situation with Josh Gordon and if the team wants to trade for a wide receiver, Andre Johnson and Mike Wallace are two names they could go after, as they have the cap space to make a move and this comes after Gordon was arrested for DWI while also dealing with a pending suspension for the entire 2014 season.

Gordon set career highs last season in receptions and yards along with touchdowns, but now his future with the Browns and the NFL is up in the air. According to ESPN.com, Gordon was arrested in North Carolina for driving under while impaired and speeding at 3 am over the weekend and he was released on bond, which was paid by Haydn Thomas, a local man who is also connected to former North Carolina Tar Heels guard PJ Hairston.

Gordon will have to appear in court in August to answer for the charges and he was tested at a .09 blood alcohol level, which is over the .08 limit in the state. The speedster from Baylor had a breakout season in 2013 and he looked to be a massive part of the future for the Browns, but now he could miss this entire season and his off the field problems could stop him from becoming a superstar.

Last season Gordon put up fantastic numbers with Brian Hoyer and Brandon Weeden throwing him the ball, going for 87 catches and over 1,600 receiving yards to lead the league. Hoyer is coming back healthy this year after dealing with knee surgery and if he can stay healthy for a full season, Cleveland has a better chance at improving. Manziel can learn playing behind Hoyer, but it's troubling for the team long term if Gordon can't get his act together.

The Browns may not want to make a trade this late in the offseason even if Gordon is suspended, but they do have the cap space to make a move if they want. The team has Nate Burleson coming back with an injury along with Miles Austin and Travis Benjamin and the team also signed Andrew Hawkins in the offseason. Johnson has stayed away from the Houston Texans this offseason and if he continues to miss team activities, the Texans could look at trading him. The Browns could be a potential destination for Johnson, while Mike Wallace is another name that has come up in trade rumors this offseason along with Danny Amendola.
