Manchester City and Sporting Kansas City are playing on the schedule on Wednesday night and the match is live from KC and has the Premier League champions taking on the MLS champions in a friendly as the EPL preseason gets underway and this is a major matchup of teams and comes after the World Cup and is a Champions Shield matchup for the teams.
Man City comes in after winning the title last season and being the highest scoring club in the EPL and they won over Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal to get it done. Sporting Kansas City has been the best team in the eastern conference after winning last year. The Seattle Sounders are leading in the west and Man City comes in likely without some star players including Vincent Kompany, who was on the Belgian team that won against Team USA. The two sides said they were excited for the match even though it's just a friendly and the Citizens matchup with KC for some pride as things go down.
Man City is obviously a very high scoring team and now they come in and will play a number of teams in the US and they also matchup later with Liverpool, AC Milan and Olympiakos. The team will be playing in the match without some big names like Yaya Toure and David Silva after the World Cup, as those players will get a rest.
