The MLB Standings are back after the All-Star break and the AL and NL division leaders are the Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, Oakland Athletics, Atlanta Braves, Milwaukee Brewers and LA Dodgers while the wild card leaders are the LA Angels, Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants, Nationals and Cardinals locked in the standings.

The Orioles are leading the AL East by 4.5 games over the NY Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, while the Boston Red Sox and Rays are in the bottom of the division. The AL Central has the Detroit Tigers and they have the biggest led in the league at 6.5 games over the Royals and the Indians, while the Twins and White Sox are way back. The AL West has the Oakland Athletics leading the LA Angels and they are closing, while the Mariners are eight games back and in playoff contention.

The National League has the Atlanta Braves leading the NL East over the Nationals by one game and the Mets are next ahead of the Marlins and Phillies. The NL Central has the Milwaukee Brewers first and they are on top of the cardinals by just 1.5 games and this one should be a dogfight with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds. The NL West has the dodgers up by .5 games and this is a two horse race with the Dodgers and the Giants, as the Padres are 12 games back in the standings.

The American League wild card has the Angels up big over the Seattle Mariners and they have a 3 game lead over a number of teams and if they can win against LA that will stay there. The Royals, Indians, Yankees and Blue Jays are chasing the Mariners in the wild card and it looks like that contingent of teams is going to contend for the playoff spot. The NL wild card race should be very exciting coming down the end, as the Reds and Pirates are closing in on the spot.
