The Lakers are looking at a trade with the Houston Rockets for Jeremy Lin that would send the point guard to Los Angeles so that the team could sign Chris Bosh to a max deal and Chandler Parsons to a contract and this comes after LeBron James decided to go back to Cleveland and sign with the Cavs after leaving four years ago.

According to ESPN.com reports, Lin is in the process of getting traded and the Lakers appear to be the landing spot, as they need an upgrade over Steve Nash and they have the cap space to handle his deal. Lin is a $15 million hit right now and the Lakers can handle that and while they still hope to sign Carmelo Anthony, it looks to be the Knicks or Bulls for him. Lin is coming off of a solid year with the Rockets, but he is on a huge deal that is expiring and Houston needs to move money to sign Bosh and Parsons.

The Lakers now are looking at other free agent options and names like Luol Deng and Lance Stephenson could be in the mix. The Lakers are pulling off a trade for Jeremy Lin and Yahoo sports reports that the deal is being finalized now and soon the trade will go through. The Rockets are using this space to sign Chandler Parsons and Chris Bosh and that gives the team some major stars up front in the west.

Some of this is old news and will be updated, bear with us, the LeBron story is insane right now and is still fluid. The Minnesota Timberwolves have been dealing with Kevin Love trade rumors all offseason and now Chandler Parsons could be an option if the team is trading Love or Ricky Rubio, as the Houston Rockets are interested in Love and could look at a sign and trade with the restricted free agent this summer if they miss out on Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James or Klay Thompson says ESPN.

The Timberwolves have been dealing with trade talks involving Love since the season ended and the Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, LA Lakers, Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets have been the most interested in making a deal. According to Pro Basketball Talk, the Timberwolves are interested in acquiring Parsons in a deal involving Love, as the talks with the Warriors involving Klay Thompson broke down around the draft and he was the main player the Wolves were looking for in the deal with Golden State.

Parsons is a restricted free agent and reports from ESPN have the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, NY Knicks and Boston Celtics interested in his services and he should command a decent salary. Parsons was a second round pick, but he developed into a very nice scorer and shooter for the Rockets, putting up 16 points and five rebounds per game last season and he shot over 45 percent from the field and that is why he should cash in. Parsons is an RFA, meaning the Rockets can match any deal her gets, but they may not be in position to do so if they sign a player like Anthony, who has been their main target this offseason.
