The Toronto Blue Jays finally got the win they needed and it came at the bat of Jose Bautista. The slugger's return has come at the right moment as Toronto has hit a bump in their season. Bautista had been sitting on the disabled list thanks to a bum hamstring, but returned in time to get the 4-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers after homering on his first at-bat. Now the Blue Jays seek a two-game sweep as they face off on Wednesday.

Toronto is trying to hold pace in the American League East as both Baltimore and New York gain on them. Getting back Bautista is the first step despite him being 2 for 14 in his last six games. The team will send up J.A. Happ to the mound. He is 7-4 with a 4.29 ERA on the season. In his last outing he struck out a season-high eight batters over  7 2/3 innings. It was a welcomed outing after he gave up eight runs over four innings to the Cincinnati Reds just a start before. In his eight starts against the Brewers, Happ is 3-3 with a 5.93 ERA while Rickie Weeks is 7 for 14 with two home runs against the pitcher.

The Brewers continue to lead the National League Central, but are in the midst of a losing streak, risking a season-high four game skid. Ryan Braun got the lone run on Tuesday, driving in his eight RBI in six games. The Brewers will start Wily Peralta who is 9-5 with a 3.20 ERA on the season. He has won a career-high five straight starts. It certainly helps Milwaukee is gifting him with 8.16 runs of support during his win streak. Even with his 4.22 ERA, the moving offense has given him the wins.

Milwaukee will be without Khris Davis which could hurt the momentum. He is out with a strained pectoral muscle after leading the team with 14 home runs on the season.
