Jason Kidd is set to leave the Brooklyn Nets for the Milwaukee Bucks after asking for more power in personnel decisions over Billy King according to the New York Post, as the team denied that request and now Mark Jackson and Lionel Hollins along with George Karl have emerged as replacements to be the next head coach and while it's shocking, it's not a surprise since Kidd has a connection to the new owners of the Bucks.

According to ESPN.com and the Post, Kidd and the Bucks are heading for a job and the two teams are already talking compensation for Kidd, who is in a four-year, $10.5 million deal with the Nets. The fact that Steve Kerr and Derek Fisher got big contracts makes a difference in this situation as well and it likely means that Larry Drew is gone for the Bucks after leading the team to a 15-67 record. The Bucks just drafted Jabari Parker with the number two pick in the draft and they have a young team that Kidd can help build and one of the main sticking points in all of this was adding more responsibility, which the Nets did not want to give to a head coach with one year of experience.

According to ESPN.com, Hollins is one of the leading candidates to come in and replace Kidd, while Mark Jackson has connections to the city and could be an option as well. George Karl has also emerged as an option and this comes after the Nets started the season 10-21 and eventually made the playoffs, winning over the Raptors before losing to the Miami Heat.

Kidd did not get off to the best start this year, record wise or overall, as he had some issues with Lawrence Frank as an assistant and he also had that soda spilling problem. Eventually he righted the ship and the team made the playoffs and now Kidd could be gone. The move with Kidd comes a she asked for more responsibility and he also reportedly clashed with Billy King and now he will be getting that extra responsibility with the Bucks most likely. Kerr and Fisher signed deals worth $25 million and that was another issue for Kidd.
