The NHL Stanley cup playoffs TV schedule picks up with Game 5 and the start time is at 8 pm ET on NBC as the NY Rangers and LA Kings play and the series is now 3-1 in favor of Los Angeles and the live stream coverage from Staples Center comes from the NBC Sports Live Extra and the series could end on the west coast.

The Rangers come in after getting blanked at home when they needed to win and now all hope is basically lost and while they can win a game to get it 3-1, the team has no chance to win the Cup. The Rangers played so hard and so well in LA and couldn't get a win and they squandered any chance of even making this a series and that is very disappointing. The NHL and their officials should be very embarrassed at the way Game 2 ended and that basically changed the whole series and that was it for the Rangers after that game.

The team has made comebacks in the playoffs, but nothing like this and the Rangers aren't the comeback Kings, the team that gets every call their way and is awarded goals when they shouldn't get them. Yes, the Kings are great, but they have gotten every call, bounce and goal that has come their way and now the Rangers have really nothing to do but try and gain back some respect by winning on Wednesday night.

The Rangers come into the game after losing both matchups in LA in overtime and now they have lost at home and are down 3-0 and this is just terrible. The Rangers took 2-0 leads in both games in LA and could not hold them and the team has leads later in the games that they could not hold, including in Game 2 and that was very tough after the team was able to score four goals. Now granted, it's much easier to come back from deficits when the referees clearly are trying to let your team win and gives goals that should have been disallowed, but that's hockey.

The Kings should be praised for what they have done to the Rangers, but people have totally ignored that the team got a goal they should not have and they were up 2-0 and now they are up 3-0 and the officials and the NHL should be embarrassed. Two huge missed calls in the Game 2 led to the two most important goals of the matchup and this now cheapens the entire series and the fact that LA is up 3-0. The Rangers have shown they also can be a resilient team and they will not give up despite being down 2-0 in the series. The team came back from 3-1 down against the Penguins and no one gave them a chance to do that and now they will have to try and comeback against the Kings.

The Game 5 matchup if necessary comes on Friday, June 13, while the Game 6 matchup will be back in New York at Madison Square Garden. The game on Monday will be on NBC and that matchup would be massive if the Rangers can get to it and at the very least they are hoping to win at least one game this series. The Game 7 matchup would be on Wednesday, June 18 and if that game exists in this universe that would be amazing, but that will never happen and while the Rangers played valiantly, they were just not good enough to beat the Kings.
