Real Madrid won over Atletico Madrid for the UEFA Champions League trophy with a 4-1 score and the team now has the European Cup for the tenth time in team history and the first in over 10 years and they got it in extra time as Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo scored goals late to get the victory.

Diego Godín scored for Atletico early before Sergio Ramos scored a goal in injury time and then Bale scored in the 118th minute to get the goal that would be the winner. Bale made good on his record contract from this year and after that Marcelo scored before Ronaldo added a penalty and that gave the team the victory for the Champions League.

The match was at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon and gave Ronaldo some home flavor for the matchup and now the team has won the Champions League after Bayern Munich won last year.
