The French open finals are live and the TV schedule picks up this weekend on NBC and the NBC Sports Live Extra website at Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic play on the men's side and Maria Sharapova and Simona Halep play on the women's side and that will be on Saturday and Sunday from Roland Garros and things are coming down to the top two players with Rafa and Dojo going at it.

The French Open tournament starts on Sunday, May 25 at Roland Garros in France for the next major tennis tournament on the schedule and the draw has Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray along with Roger Federer among the top seeds and the tournament will run through June 8.

Nadal is looking to continue his dominance at Roland Garros and while he has lost on the clay this season in some of the smaller tournaments, he usually dominates at the major. Nadal won last year, as did Serena Williams.

Nadal and Federer have started off the year well and Federer looks to get back on track as he tries to win a major this year after missing out last season. This could be the last run for Federer and this year, the French Open starts up on May 25 in Roland Garros, while Wimbledon is next and that is July 23 and that comes before the US Open and that will be on August 25 into September at Flushing Meadows in Queens.

The French Open 2014 draw is set and now Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams have the top seeds in the major tournament on clay at Roland Garros and they headline the men's and women's draws as players like Novak Djokovic, Maria Sharapova, Li Na, David Ferrer and Roger Federer look to win over Nadal in France.

The French Open is the next major on the schedule and Djokovic comes in after getting a win against Nadal in the finals of the Italian Open and now he has some momentum coming into the tournament. Nadal has won the French Open eight times and in eight of the past nine years and he will get the chance to do it again and he could have a tough road, but he will have the chance for revenge against Djokovic, as he is the number two seed. Djokovic could face off against Milos Raonic in the quarters, while Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray along with Federer and Tomas Berdych are the other potential matchups.

Nadal could face Nicolas Almagro in the fourth and buddy David Ferrer in the quarters and that comes after he defeated him in the finals last year. Nadal is dominant on clay and Ferrer also comes in with a win over Nadal, taking the Monte Carlo match after defeating him in the quarters. Almagro also won over Nadal and snapped a 40 match winning streak in Barcelona and now he will be tested as he tries to rebound from those matchups, which were just three sets. Nadal is much better on clay in five set matches and that gives him a chance once again to dominate at Roland Garros.

The women's side has Williams number one once again and she could matchup with aria Sharapova after the two played last year in the finals and this could come in the quarters. Some of the other potential matchups include Li Na and Jelena Jankovic, while Agnieszka Radwanska can play Angelique Kerber, while No. 4 Simona Halep s could play Petra Kvitova. The two sides of the draw should be very good this year and Nadal comes in with a 59-1 record in his time at the French Open and he is looking to get things going again, while Williams is coming back after winning last year with Nadal.
