The Oakland Athletics are putting together an impressive home record at this point in the season. The team is in the midst of a seven-game win streak at home with the chance to extend it to eight as they face off against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday afternoon.

The Athletics are enjoying a 10-game homestand that improving their 25-15 overall record. The team lost the first three games to the Seattle Mariners, but has won the last six thanks to a 39-8 scoring advantage on opponents. The team is coming off a routing of the White Sox on Tuesday when the team won 11-0 off Brandon Moss' five RBI performance. The White Sox were held to just four hits overall as the Athletics matched a season high 17 hit total while posting their third shutout during the home stretch. Moss is batting .366 overall and playing a big part in the recent success of Oakland.

The pitching rotation is certainly helping in the effort. The team's starters have a 1.113 ERA during the win streak. Tommy Milone will look to keep that going as he steps up to the mound. He is 1-3 with a 4.54 ERA. He is starting to turn things around after starting 0-3 with a 5.86 ERA in his first five starts. He might have given up six runs in four inning against Boston at the beginning of May, but he followed that up by yielding just two hits against Washington.

After recent injuries, the pressure is on Milone to play well. In his last start against the White Sox, he gave up just one run and seven hits in 15 innings. Adam Dunn has most success against the pitcher but is 0 for 10 in his last four games and might not be able to do much.

The White Sox will send up Andre Rienzo in hopes of avoiding a sweep. This is the pitchers first appearance facing Oakland but he is 3-0 with a 4.56 ERA which means he could perform well against the team.
