The Oakland Raiders are coming into the 2014 season with high expectations and now that Derek Carr is in the fold, the future could be bright and many will wonder whether Carr can win the starting job over Matt Schaub for this year and beyond that, Reggie McKenzie could look at an Andre Johnson trade to help fill some holes at wide receiver if he continues to be frustrated with the Texans.

McKenzie has said that the team likes Schaub and they felt that Carr was too good to pass up at their pick in the second round and that likely means that the team wants Schaub to start in 2014. Carr could be a future option alongside Matt McGloin, but for now Dennis Allen likely will sue the veteran unless Carr blows the team away in training camp. According to ESPN.com, McKenzie has said that the team felt comfortable taking Carr despite the fact that they had other needs and already traded for Schaub, as the value for the pick was there.

The team did not take a wideout high in the draft and that is one area of need for the team and that is why Andre Johnson's name has come up, as he could be on his way out of Houston at some point down the line in the future. Johnson is coming into the offseason after another amazing year despite the fact that the Texans went just 2-14 last season and while he has not asked for a trade, the wideout vented some frustrations about being in Houston. Johnson put up 109 catches for 1,407 yards and five touchdowns and the Raiders have the money to make the move, but the contract for Johnson could be what holds it up for the Texans.

According to ESPN.com, Johnson has not demanded a trade and has not made stink about any contract demands, but he is frustrated with the way the team has handled the quarterback situation and things overall in the franchise over the past couple years. The team was close to a Super Bowl appearance a couple years ago before going 2-14 last season and now the 32 year old has a new head coach and so far his best options at quarterback are Ryan Fitzpatrick and rookie Tom Savage.

Johnson said that he would have to think about moving on if the team doesn't improve and while he understands that he has been with the team his whole career, he also wants to win a championship. Johnson's numbers with the team have him making 927 receptions for 12,661 yards and 61 touchdowns in 11 seasons.

The Raiders could look to make a move, but they have concerns of their own, as Schaub and Carr could battle in training camp for the starting job after he was drafted in the second round. The team, likely will let him sit and learn, but after passing for 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns last season, he could be in the mix. The Raiders had Matt Flynn last season and that lasted about five minutes and that could play out again with Carr.
