The Tampa Bay Rays and NY Yankees are playing in New York at Yankee Stadium on Sunday in the series finale of their three game set and the matchup starts at 1:05 pm ET from the Bronx and comes as Mark Teixeira and the Yanks are heating up and it has CC Sabathia facing off against Erik Bedard in the matchup.

Teixeira looks to be finally getting his swing back after having wrist surgery last year and he now has four home runs in the last five games and he has been using the Stadium dimensions to his advantage. Tex has been playing well against the Rays in recent games and he is hitting over .350 overall against the team in the last seven games and now he has the chance to help put the Yankees over the Rays for the series, as they have split the two games here with the Yankees winning on Saturday and the Rays winning on Friday and the Rays have played well in the borough, as they have won seven of their last nine games there.

The Rays have been getting some great play from James Loney and from Wil Myers and that could help power the team on Sunday and while it is overcast in NY, the weather is expected to hold early for the matchup. Myers had hit well at the stadium and he has three home runs over his last five games and he also is hitting over .440 in his last 15 games against the team in either city and he also has been a solid hitter against Sabathia, putting up six home runs against him in his career.

The known rapist Josh Lueke got the loss against Masahito Tanaka in the game on Saturday and that saw the Yankees pile on runs late after evening things up earlier in the game and now they are 16-13 on the season and they are first in the AL East. The division is going to be a tough one with the Rays, Red Sox, Orioles and Blue Jays all talented teams and the Yankees come in playing well on offense, ranking in the top 15 in most major categories, including in runs scored and batting average.

The team lost against the Rays on Friday and now they are looking to take two in a tow and it comes as the team is fifth in batting average and 12th in runs and they are also 11th in on base and eighth in slugging percentage. Tanaka is now 4-0 on the season and the team is ranked in the top 10 in runs and on base percentage and the pitching has been up and down while dealing with injuries.
