The Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs are playing on the NBA playoffs schedule on Wednesday night and the west first round series is tied 2-2 for Game 5 and the matchup starts at 7 pm ET from TNT and comes streaming online with a live stream and comes as Tim Duncan and Tony Parker are looking to lead their team to a 3-2 series lead.

The Mavericks took a 2-1 advantage after the miracle shot from Vince Carter and now the two teams are tied up after the Spurs won out in Game 4 on Monday. The series is tied 2-2 now and the Spurs have the chance to take control and the winner of Game 5 wins the series the majority of the time by far and that makes this game even more crucial. The Mavs showed they can win in San Antonio and that has been very tough for teams this year and now the Mavericks will have to try and do it again.

The team comes into the game after a strong performance from Monta Ellis and he has been very solid for the team and he had 20 points and now Dirk Nowitzki must step up after having a down game on Monday night. The game comes from the AT&T Center in Texas and both the Mavericks and Spurs have the personnel to get into a shootout and that could come to pass after the past game was more of a defensive affair that saw the Mavs storm back from a big deficit only to lose later in the game.

Manu Ginobili was the star in the last game and he had 23 points for the Spurs and five assists, while Tiago Splitter had 12 rebounds and now the Spurs have home court back after almost going down 3-1 in the series. The Big 3 for the Spurs are likely making their last finals run and after losing the championship last season they would like to get back in action against the Miami Heat if they make it and obviously they need to win this first round series. The Spurs have been getting trouble from the Mavs and the Hawks are giving fits to the Pacers and both teams are in danger of losing as the one seed to the eighth seed.

The schedule on Wednesday has a number of important games, including the Mavs and Spurs playing in Game 5, while the Brooklyn Nets and Raptors are also matching up in Canada. That series is tied 2-2 as well after the Raptors won in Brooklyn and now they can take control with a 3-2 lead in the matchup on Wednesday.

Thursday is also filled with big games, as the Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks play Game 6 and that could mean the end of the line for Roy Hibbert and Indy. The team won the eighth seed in the playoffs and now they have the chance to end things for the Pacers, who won the number one seed in the playoffs over the Miami Heat. The Spurs and Mavericks are both looking to advance in the west and the first team that can clinch is the Portland Trail Blazers with their 3-1 lead over the Houston Rockets.
