NBA Playoffs Standings and Schedule: Portland Trail Blazers Up 2-0 On Houston Rockets As Dallas Mavericks Upset Spurs At Home For 1-1 Series

The NBA playoffs standings and schedule has the Miami Heat up 2-0 on the Charlotte Bobcats, while the Dallas Mavericks evened things up with the Spurs in their series at 1-1 after winning Game 2 and in the Portland against Houston series, the Trail Blazers are now up 2-0 after winning both game against the Rockets on the road after great performances from LaMarcus Aldridge.

The Blazers are now up 2-0 as they return to the Moda Center and this comes as they had to play both games on the road at the Toyota Center and now there is immense pressure on the Rockets heading into Game 3 and that will be on Friday and will air on ESPN starting up at 10:30 pm ET. Aldridge has had a breakout party in the playoffs and he has scored over 40 points in both games in Houston and he was impressive again on Wednesday, putting in 43 points to lead the team after having 46 points and 18 rebounds in the first game that went into overtime. Dwight Howard did his part in a losing effort, going for 32 points and now the Rockets have their backs against the wall.

The Dallas Mavericks won for the first time in San Antonio in years and they evened up their series with the Spurs and it came on a dominant performance on the road. The series is now tied at 1-1 in the west first round and they will play the next game on Saturday and Monta Ellis led the way for the Mavs and had 21 points in the game and now Tim Duncan and company will try and rebound in Game 3.

Miami took a commanding lead in their series in the East against the Bobcats and now they are in control heading into Charlotte for Game 3. LeBron James has been playing very well and he led the team again with 32 points in the matchup and he also was clutch down the stretch. James had to hit some free throws at the end of the game, as the Bobcats kept things close with a nice game from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who had 22 points in the matchup.

Miami was leading strong out of the first quarter before the Bobcats caught up and they ended up outscoring the Heat in the final quarter but James was able to keep them at bay enough to win. Kemba Walker hit a big three at the end to keep things close and James finished the game with eight assists as well. Ginobili was the top performer for the Spurs, adding over 25 points and also four assists, while Dwight Howard had over 30 points and 14 rebounds and he will need to get better for the Rockets to pull through.
