The Miami Dolphins season schedule for 2014 will be released in full on Wednesday night and the ESPN TV presentation will unveil each teams schedule and this season the Fins and the AFC East will be playing some tough matchups, including against the NFC North and the AFC West and that means the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears are all on the docket this season.

The Dolphins come into the year with the 12th toughest schedule based on win percentage in the league and part of that is due to the division they play in the AFC and the NFC, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos both were very good last season and they also have matchups with playoff teams like the Packers and the Chargers. Within their division they have the third toughest schedule overall and the toughest home one, but they are tied for the best road schedule based on win percentage and that could give them a chance to rebound after missing the playoffs this year.

Last season the Dolphins had a chance to make the playoffs, but they laid an egg at the end of the season and scored just seven points over their final two games and they left them out of things after a shutout by the Bills. The team had won three straight before that, but now they have many questions heading into the draft and offense likely will be a main target. The team ranked 20th in passing yards per game and 26th in rushing behind Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller and that is why they signed Knowshon Moreno and that is why they may draft a back in May, including names like Carlos Hyde and Andre Williams.

The defense was so-so and allowed over 230 yards in the air per game and they were also ranked 24th in the league in rushing yards allowed and they ended up just 8-8 on the season after starting off 3-0 and then losing four games in a row after that. This year the team plays against the AFC West and the NFC North and they have their home and away games split already and just need the dates filled in.

The home games this year have the divisional matchups with the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and New York Jets, while they also will play against the Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings at home. The team has a tough road schedule and they finish the west with the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders, as well as the North with the Bears and Lions. The team also has the divisional home games against Buffalo, NE and NY and they also have an all Florida matchup with the Jaguars.
