The NBA playoffs standings has both the LA Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors series and the OKC Thunder against the Memphis Grizzlies tied at 1-1 after Monday night, as Los Angeles won in a blowout in Game 2, while OKC fell in overtime against Zach Randolph and the Grizzlies.
The NBA playoffs standings for 2014 has the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors as 1-0 series leaders in the first round in the eastern and western conferences and after the games on Sunday LeBron James and the Heat took another step towards their attempt at a three-peat as the schedule continues on Monday night as the Memphis Grizzlies take on Kevin Durant and OKC, while the LA Clippers host Game 2 in their series.
San Antonio made a nice comeback against the Dallas Mavericks in a hard-fought game and they erased a double digit deficit and the Big 3 of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker had a huge impact as SA rolled to a 1-0 series lead. Miami won by 11 points and they lead the Bobcats after getting 27 points from LeBron James and he matched up with Kemba Walker, who had 20 points for Charlotte and while the game stayed close at times, the Heat pulled away and outscored the team in the fourth quarter. Dwyane Wade looked good in the game and he ended up leading the team in assists with five, while Chris Andersen had 10 rebounds against that many from Al Jefferson, who has played very well for the Bobcats.
Kemba Walker also added six assists and even though the Heat were outscored in the first quarter, they were able to get a late push and now they have a nice 1-0 lead and that means they already have done better than the Pacers, who lost the first game in Indiana to the Atlanta Hawks. Jeff Teague was excellent down the stretch in that game and he also had a great crossover of Evan Turner before hitting a step back three and that gave the Hawks some momentum down the stretch as they took that game.
The Mavericks played the Spurs tough and had a lead at halftime, but they couldn't keep it up and San Antonio ended up getting 27 points from Tim Duncan, while Tiago Splitter had 11 rebounds and Parker led the way with six assists against a good game from Devin Harris, who led with 19 points and five assists for the Mavericks. The games on Monday will be on TNT with the Grizzlies visiting the Thunder at 8 pm and the doubleheader continues with the Golden State Warriors visiting the Staples Center to play against the Los Angeles Clippers and that will be a crucial game for Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Game 2 of the series with the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers comes on Tuesday at 7 pm ET on TNT as well and the matchup for the Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors in Game 2 comes at 7:30 pm ET on NBATV.
