Norwich City and Liverpool are playing live on the English Premier League schedule and the Reds are coming into Carrow Road looking to pad their EPL lead and the game starts at 7 am ET on the NBC Sports Network and streaming live from the website and comes as the Reds can push Chelsea back after they lost to Sunderland and that comes ahead of the match against the Blues at Anfield.
Liverpool has been the most impressive team in the Premier League this season and they have been scoring more than anyone and Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard have been the reasons for that and the team has been playing inspired ball and no one has been able to keep up with them as of late. The team comes in after a close victory over Manchester City at Anfield and before that they won over both West Ham and Tottenham and that match against the Spurs was another shutout and the Reds have scored multiple goals in all their games since losing 2-1 against Arsenal back in February and that was at the Emirates.
Suarez is the leading scorer in the league and he has 29 goals, while Daniel Sturridge has 20 and Steven Gerrard has been playing great lately and he has 13 goals this season as well to add to the trio. Brendan Rodgers said that he thinks Gerrard is the best holding midfielder in Europe and that is high praise for the captain as they try to win a title for the first time in 24 years and with the anniversary of Hillsborough still fresh in the memories of the players, they have been performing well on the pitch and the win against Man City was huge as the Reds try to win the title and the team will be without Jordan Henderson for the match as he is serving a three game ban.
The play of the Reds has not fallen on deaf ears, as the Pro Footballers Association has nominated Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Steven Gerrard as the players of the year and they are in the mix with Eden Hazard from Chelsea, Manchester City's Yaya Toure and Southampton's Adam Lallana. Suarez has nearly 30 goals this season and he has done it in 29 games, while Gerrard has been excellent all around and Sturridge has 20 goals over 26 games this season and now Gerrard the legend has the chance to win his first title with the club.
Liverpool is first in the league on the Premier table and they can win the Barclays for the first time in over 20 years and it would end up very likely if they win over Chelsea next week. The team has three matches after the one on Sunday and they come in after Chelsea lost at home for the first time under Jose Mourinho and that was to Sunderland after a controversial penalty call, while Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Swansea all won, with Cardiff City and Stoke City as well as Aston Villa and Southampton pulling draws.
