The Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues are matching up in their western conference NHL playoffs series on Saturday and the game starts up at 3 pm on NBC and comes as the teams played a triple overtime game and that was one of the longest ever for the home team and the matchup will be from the Scottrade Center and the home team has some momentum after getting the victory late.

The Blues lead the series 1-0 after winning on Thursday and that game was an endurance test for both sides and now the Blackhawks will try and tie things up before heading home to the United Center for two games. The team got the winning goal from Alexander Steen after Jaden Schwartz was able to tie the game in regulation and Ryan Miller was brilliant and he had a streak of over 30 saves in a row after a rough first period and he is one reason why the team remains in the mix for the Cup this year. Corey Crawford made 48 saves in the game but he obviously missed the one at the end that mattered and now the team is hoping to rebound on Saturday.

Crawford and Miller had nearly 90 saves together and the teams played nearly and extra game and now they have an afternoon start time to deal with and both sides will have their endurance put to the test. Maxim Lapierre helped stop a goal as well and despite Joel Quenneville's antics, the Blackhawks couldn't get the win and now they are trying to steal a game on the road and the team was not able to get things going after scoring three goals in the first seven and a half minutes of the game and it went over 80 minutes the rest of the way and the team could not score despite getting Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews back.

The Blues and Blackhawks battled in the central division all season and now the Blues come in after ranking sixth in the league in scoring and third in goals against. The trade for Miller has been huge for the team and they are also ranked eighth in power play percentage and second in penalty kill percentage and they are looking to advance after losing last year in the playoffs to the Kings. The Hawks come in ranked second in scoring and 12th in goals this season and they also were in the top 10 in power play percentage.
