Pacquiao vs. Bradley
Contrary to Bradley's prediction that Pacquiao would be disinterested in a rematch, the former champ is on board for another bout."

Manny Pacquiao's controversial loss to Tim Bradley may have dealt a serious blow to the world of professional boxing.  Or it could provide the once marquee sport with the spark it needs to return to prominence amongst mainstream audiences.

But while the fallout from his infamous loss waits to unfold, Pacquiao has not wasted anytime making sure that the fight generated a positive result.

Filipino Congressman, Pacquiao has opted to curtail a planned vacation in the United States in order to return to the Philippines and lend both moral and financial support in the wake of recent floods.  The money that the former champion has donated came directly from the earnings he garnered from his infamous bout with Bradley.

"All these are coming from my personal pockets" said the former champion. "My gifts for you from the proceeds of my recent fight with Timothy Bradley. I told my children I have to rush home to help the people in my district. This is part of my responsibility as a public servant. I just cut short my family vacation to help my constituents who were affected by the calamity. The province of Sarangani, which I represent, is still without a hospital. That is not right, and I cannot rest until my province gets the funds to build one."

Original speculation indicated a rematch between Bradley and Pacquiao would take place this coming fall.  Bradley has since cooled off those rumors by saying that a rematch was not on the docket during this calendar year.
