The Chicago Cubs and NY Yankees played already at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday and they will have another MLB matchup in the Bronx for a doubleheader after the game was postponed on Tuesday and it starts up at 7:05 pm ET and has Michael Pineda on the mound against Travis Wood and the matchup will be streaming online from the MLB.com website.

The Cubs have been one of the worst teams in baseball over the past couple years and they lost the first game to the Yankees and now they play against the team for the second time in the game day. The Yankees have been dealing with numerous injuries early on this season and they now have the chance to get things together as they push into the back half of April. The team has played well on their home stand and now they are set to get going back on the road and it comes as they have scored 50 runs this season and they are struggling a bit overall, but the stats have been solid.

The Yankees rank 23rd in runs this season, but they are in the top five in batting average and they are ranked seventh in the league early on in both on base and slugging percentage. Jacoby Ellsbury has been off to a great start this season after signing with the Yanks from the Boston Red Sox this offseason and he is hitting over .360 this season in the early goings and he has been key for the success of the team and he has been showing speed and power with his bat. Ellsbury has been a table setter this season and the pitching has come through early as well.

The bullpen has taken some hits with David Robertson injured, but Shawn Kelly has been solid coming in after him and he now has multiple saves this season after stepping in. The team is ranked 19th in ERA, but they are 10th in quality starts and seventh in WHIP and they are holding opponents to a sub .250 average so far. The Cubs are looking to steal a win on Wednesday and they will head out of the Stadium into the toughest division in baseball right now.

The AL East is always tough, but the NL central has been very good to start the year, as the Milwaukee Brewers were the best team for a time and the St. Louis Cardinals are right there with them in the division standings. The Cardinals won the division last season and both the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds made the playoffs last season and throwing the Brew Crew into that will make winning the division tough.
