The Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers are playing live on the MLB schedule on Monday night and the baseball game comes at 8:05 pm ET and is from Globe Life Park in Arlington and it will be streaming from the MLB.com website and comes as the AL West rivals are looking to get things going in the right direction and it has Roenis Elias and Colby Lewis going against each other.

The Mariners have been dealing with a ton of injuries in the rotation and that is one reason why Elias is starting and he has pitched well even though he has not won a game yet. Elias has a sub 3.00 ERA and he is 0-1 and he is now going up against a pitcher in Lewis who has not been on the mound since back in 2012 after getting elbow surgery. The Mariners have started off the season well, but they are now 6-5 after slumping a bit and a trip down south might be what they need for their bats to come alive, as players like Kyle Seager have hit well in Texas.

Elias has pitched twice through five-innings and now the Mariners are hoping for one more solid outing as they try and make up for losing to the Athletics. The Mariners dropped two of three to the A's and they will have Blake Beavan starting in the rotation in place of James Paxton, who now joins Taijuan Walker and Hisashi Iwakuma as names in the rotation that have dealt with injuries this season. The Mariners started off the season hot and now they have quieted down a bit, especially on offense.

The team comes in after scoring 46 runs over the first two weeks and they are ranked 27th in the league in batting average and the same in on base percentage. Robinson Cano has not hit a home run yet and he has made players better, including Justin Smoak and Dustin Ackley, but now the team needs to pick things up. The pitching has been stellar and they are ranked in the top five in ERA and WHIP as well as batting average against and they are 14th in quality starts this season as well. The Mariners are coming in with high expectations after Cano signed and Felix Hernandez comes in at 3-0 already this season and he is looking strong.

The Rangers won 1-0 against the Houston Astros and on Wednesday they will have Felix and Yu Darvish against each other and that should be one of the best starts of the season. The team is ranked 23rd in the league in runs and 13th in batting average and the team is also ranked 12th in on base percentage. The pitching has not been up to snuff yet and they are pitching with a 4.00 ERA and they are looking to get things going after starting the season 6-6.
