The NBA playoff standings are finishing up for the postseason in 2014 and the Indiana Pacers are battling with the Miami Heat for the top seed and home court advantage in the eastern conference and they can lock things up with one week left on the schedule, while the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder are the top teams in the west.

The Pacers and Heat have been battling for the top seed all season and while Miami pulled ahead last week amid the slump for Indiana, they were able to pull back after LeBron James lost to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Pacers won over the Thunder to stay ahead and now they have a half game lead heading into the final week and they have the chance to lock things up and that would be very big after the way they have struggled over the past couple weeks.

Indiana has gone 4-6 over the last 10 games and while they are close to locking up the top seed, Miami is still in the mix. The Pacers felt that if they had the number one seed last season they would have won over the Miami Heat in seven games and now they have the chance to get it ahead of the playoffs. The west has the Spurs and the Thunder as the top teams this season.
