The PGA leaderboard for the Masters has Bubba Watson and Jordan Spieth battling in the final round for the lead at Augusta National Sunday for the green jacket and the tournament is coming down to the end after the third round saw Spieth surge and now Watson has the chance to bounce back after faltering in the Saturday round.

Heading through nine holes, Watson was in the lead after previously winning the Masters in 2012 and Adam Scott was the winner last year and Spieth comes in at one stroke back of Watson when he was through eight. Watson was in the lead after the second round and he played very well over the first two days after getting off to a good start he could be in the mix now without Tiger Woods at Augusta for the first time in two decades.

Augusta has seen some great play through the tournament and Gary Woodland was one reason why, putting up a 30 for the best score ever for the first nine at the Masters and while he couldn't keep it up, it was quite the performance. Rory McIlroy has had an up and down tournament and on Saturday he had an interesting partner with one of the Augusta National members to even out the cut and he was beaten by one by him on that day and now he is looking to get things back on track. Woods is out of the Masters and possibly the British Open and that leaves a big void and now Watson can step up into that, while Spieth could make history if he wins a green jacket.

Not that it matters, the Masters is coming with the dough this year, as Augusta has added a million to the total winnings and now the champion will get $1.620 million and the full amount given will be $9 million. Watson took a two stroke lead through nine holes and he has a two stroke lead with Spieth chasing and the end of the tournament could get very close. Phil Mickelson missed the cut and now he is out of things and he was 12 shots back when he missed it after putting in a 73 and that left him five over 149 and that put him out the cut for the Masters.
