Daniel Bryan
Will Daniel Bryan remain in the WWE Title picture?"

Follow the action of this week's Raw Super Show with the SWR live blog.

Tonight, John Laurinaitis is expected to address the WWE fans in what is being tabbed as his "farewell" speech.  Sources indicated that Laurinaitis will not actually be abandoning his onscreen duties despite being "fired" at No Way Out.

Also expected for tonight is another legend appearance.  Last week, Vader worked over jobber, Heath Slater.  My prediction?  Tonight we see Kevin Nash beat up JTG.

I'm very interested to see what direction the WWE Title feud goes in. With Punk retaining, it will be tough to justify keeping Daniel Bryan in the picture.  Last night was Kane's first loss in the feud and will likely remain in the title picture.

Expect Dolph Ziggler to havea big night.  WWE is definitely considering a push for the mid-carder after having Sheamus cut a promo putting him over last night.

Last but not least, Brock Lesnar is expected to accept Triple H's challenge for SummerSlam tonight. Don't expect a legitimate Lesnar appearance, however.  Most likely it will be Paul Heyman accepting on Lesnar's behalf.

Opener: First out, we have a surprise appearance from Mick Foley.  He announces that he'll be the guest GM for both Raw and Smackdown this week.  He also books a tag team matchup for later tonight between Kane/Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk/Sheamus.

John Laurinaitis is introduced and after being booed, states that he will give his farewell address later in the show. He, Big Show, and Otunga will take on Cena later tonight.

Match 1: Out comes Sheamus followed by CM Punk.  Both champions pose in the ring while Punk's appearance on Jimmy Fallon is plugged.  We go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Sheamus starts out vs. Bryan.  Punk has held title now 211 consecutive days.

We go to commercial as Kane works over the WWE Champion.

After commercial we have Bryan vs. Sheaums with near falls.  Eventally CM Punk receives a hot tag and subdues Bryan.  Punk goes to top rope and a recovering Bryan hits a superplex.

Immediately after, AJ emerges wearing Kane's colors and a Kane mask.  Kane followers her to the back.  Punk hits a stunned Bryan with a GTS, Sheamus hits the Brouge Kick and the champions collect the victory.

Match 2: Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger are headed to the ring to decide who gets to stay a client of Vickie...it looks like the stable officially ends tonight.

Ziggler is selling a knee injury midway through the match. Not sure if injury is legitimate.  Tough to see Ziggler need to miss time now being as he is in the middle of perhaps his biggest push yet.

Ziggler wins the match...but still can't tell if injury is legit or storyine.....and Vickie kisses Dolph on the lips.....fun.

As expected, Brock Lesnar does not appear.  Instead, Paul Heyman comes to the ring and claims that he and Lesnar will not be taking up Triple H on his challenge.  They will not be dropping their law suits.

Triple H music hits, and out he comes.  Where have we seen this whole scenerio before? It looks to be an exact copy of the Wrestlemania 28 buildup.

Triple H ends up punching out Paul Heyman after some heated taunting.

Match 3: Albero Del Rio beats Santino in not quite a squash match but close.

Cyndi Lauper is here...pretend you care.

Heath Slater shows up....because of course he does.

Crowd is chanting "We want Lauper".... I knew Slater wasn't over...but wow.

Roddy Piper out to a huge pop.  I guess he's the legend for tonight.  I also guess Heath Slater is the designated whipping boy for said legends.

Piper honors Lauper with a gold record....Slater moans about it...Piper rakes his eyes...Lauper smashes the record over his head.

Michael Cole says: this was one of the worst segments in the history of Raw.  I'm not disagreeing with him.

Match 4: Primo/Epico vs.Prime Time Players

Good, fast paced, exciting match until Prime Time Players decide to take a countout and quit.

Match 5: Johnny is out and he gives his farewell heel speech.  Otunga and Big Show follow.

Show gets on the mike and walks out.  He says that he does not want to compete on behalf of Johnny tonight.  He says that he doesn't need to.

It is now essentially Otunga vs. Cena.

Cena comes out to a decent pop.

Crowd has gotten very vocal. Half chanting "Lets go Cena!" Other half screaming "Cena sucks!"

Johnny attempts to pin Cena after Otunga gains upperhand but Cena kicks out.  Otunga heads up ramp and bails on Johnny.  Cena gives Johnny three AAs and it looks like Laurinaitis's run is done for now.
